Layout of the House
The moment we walked through the front door, all we could say was “wow, you’ve got to be kidding.” Yes, we’d seen photos of the home prior to our visit, but these didn’t even begin to capture the magnificence of this impressive abode. Nothing here has been overlooked. The comfort and convenience of its guests are obviously Bogart’s top priority.

The main level of the home boasts hardwood floors, high beamed ceilings, floor to ceiling windows, and an expansive well-appointed living room with a large flat screen television, sound system and gas fireplace.

Impressive Open-Air Kitchen
Cooking aficionados will adore the massive open-air kitchen with its granite counters, top-of-the-line stainless steel appliances, and elegant drop lighting. This magnificent galley contains every cooking utensil imaginable. We had a great time gathering each morning for a fun and delectably prepared group breakfast. Those who weren’t cooking couldn’t resist being at the counter bar stools with their coffee or tea joining in on the lively conversation.

The spacious pantry had more than enough room to store all our foodie necessities, and since there are several grocery stores in town, we found everything we needed for our stay. In addition, an outdoor grill is available for those who love cooking on the ‘barbie.’
A bathroom was conveniently situated just off the kitchen and the mud room provided plenty of benches and hooks. The heated garage had more than enough storage for boots, skiwear, and skis.
About the Bedrooms
Each of the home’s five bedrooms are tastefully appointed, touting a private bath and full walk-in closet. We loved the magnificent master suite on the third level with a king bed, fireplace, and private deck.

A second bedroom on the same level has a queen-sized bed. The downstairs first level features three separate bedrooms with walk-in showers, a master king with a twin extra-long sleeper chair, a queen room, and queen bunk room ideal for kids or the younger crowd.
This downstairs area is like a house of its own with a large family/recreation room fully equipped with a flat-screen TV, DVD player, and arcade games. A wet bar with a wine refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher sits directly off the family room. Washers and dryers are located on both the first and third levels.

What to Pack for Breckenridge
My co-founder here at Travel by Vacation Rental has a list of her travel favorites for every trip here, from her favorite toiletry bag and travel purse to the best power bank she’s found to keep her phone taking great photos all day long.
Rent your gear from Kit Lender
Here are some specific favorites she says she always packs for Breckenridge:
☆ Merrell women’s waterproof hiking boots — Waterproof and lightweight.
☆ Osprey Dry Stuff Pack — I love this because it packs down into its own pocket and is great for outdoor activities.
☆ 3-in-1 Jacket — This is a great lightweight waterproof rain jacket plus a puffer for warmth, which can all be worn together or each piece separate. Perfect for the variable weather you can get throughout the day/night in Breck in the spring or fall. Check out this one if you prefer a fleece to a puffer.
☆ Winter pompom hat — I have this hat in two colors because it’s so warm, comfy and stylish.
☆ Ski strap and pole carrier — Even if you only have a short walk with your skis, you’ll thank yourself for buying this great over-the-shoulder carrier. Worth every penny!
☆ Power bank — This can recharge my Google Pixel 6 Pro more than three times on a single charge so I can take photos and videos all day.
☆ GorillaPod mini-tripod — Wrap the flexible arms of this around a tree branch, fence, sign…anything. Great for taking shots of you or the whole group with the gorgeous Breckenridge scenery.

May 13, 2021I took my kids to Breckenridge on their first ski/snowboarding trip in 2013. We loved it then, and reading this reminds me we need to go back again, during the different seasons!
