Whether you’re meeting friends or family in Breckenridge, it’s one of the best places to find huge, luxurious homes to rent for a vacation you won’t forget. I’ve hosted several retreats in Breckenridge, including travel writing retreats, and every house we’ve stayed in has been fantastic!
Below are some of my favorites I’ve personally stayed in, as well as a few I have on my wish list for the future.
Check out our guide to dining, activities and more in Breckenridge!
The Bogart House: 5 Bedrooms/5.5 Baths
*TBVR Certified – we’ve stayed here!

Bedrooms: 5 (3 Kings, 1 Queen, 1 Queen/Queen Bunk, 1 Queen Sleeper Sofa, 2 Twin Sleeper Chairs)
Bathrooms: 5.5
Square footage: 4,063
Parking: 4 cars (two-car heated garage plus two driveway spots)
Pet-Friendly? No
Yet another house I’ve enjoyed staying in myself is the Bogart House (read my business partner Noreen’s full review here), which has an ideal location on Ridge Street just one block above Main Street. It’s situated just high enough to have a great view of the ski runs on the other side of Main, which you can enjoy from an Adirondack chair in the yard or from the hot tub.
The spacious, open floor plan of this three-level house gives your group plenty of room to spread out and relax when you’re not out enjoying all Breckenridge has to offer.

The Pines at 4 O’Clock: 6 Bedrooms/6.5 Baths

Bedrooms: 6 (4 Kings, 3 Queens, 2 Twins)
Bathrooms: 6.5
Square footage: 4,800
Parking: 2-car garage plus driveway space

No matter the season, The Pines at 4 O’Clock is a luxurious retreat in a terrific Breckenridge location. For skiers and snowboarders, the Four O’Clock ski run is steps from the front door. Visiting in the summer? Enjoy beautiful views of Mount Baldy and a field of wildflowers.
The home was featured in the Summer 2018 edition of the Colorado Summit magazine you’ll appreciate even if you’re not an architecture buff. From the elevator, to the 10-person live edge dining table, 14-feet granite island and radiative in-floor heating, they’ve thought of everything here to make your stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible.

Mont Vista Chateau: 8 Bedrooms/7 Baths
*TBVR Certified – we’ve stayed here!

Bedrooms: 8 (4 Kings, 3 Queens, 1 room with two Queens, Sleeper Sofa)
Bathrooms: 7
Square footage: 7,500
Parking: 5 cars (including two garage spaces)
Pet-Friendly? No
I’ve personally stayed at Mont Vista Chateau with nine other women (read my full review here), and I’d gladly stay again in the future. It is everything you expect in a luxury rental, including an incredible kitchen. We hired a private chef to come in and cook our first night in town so we could relax, and it was the ideal setup.
The views and outdoor space, paired with tons of space inside the 7,500 square foot house, make this the perfect mountain retreat. The only downside is that this one isn’t walkable to Main Street (the flip side of being high enough up to have great views from the deck). However, it is just three minutes from a shuttle stop. It also has plenty of parking, so if you’re planning on having a vehicle in town, it’s a great option.

The Timbers Lodge: 8 Bedrooms/7.5 Baths

Bedrooms: 8 (3 Kings, 4 Queens, 2 Twins, Bunk Beds, Sleeper Sofa)
Bathrooms: 7.5
Square footage: 6,900
Parking: Two-car garage and driveway space
Pet-Friendly? No
If you’re looking for a luxury ski-in/ski-out, look no further than The Timbers Lodge near the base of Peak 8. The Timbers sits on Trygve’s run just off the half-pipe at the base of Peak 8. Few vacation rentals of this caliber are available so close to the slopes. Even if you’re visiting outside of the winter months, it’s an ideal location for hiking, biking or anything else that brings you to Breck.
The owners have thought of everything to make this a comfy retreat for those who want to treat themselves. With three levels, there’s plenty of room for a large family or group to spread out and enjoy their vacation without feeling like they’re right on top of each other.

Wapiti Lodge: 8 Bedrooms/6 Baths

Bedrooms: 8 (1 King, 5 Queens, 2 Twins, 2 Bunk Beds)
Bathrooms: 6
Square footage: 4,000
Parking: Unconfirmed
Pet-Friendly? No
Wapiti Lodge is one of the more affordable large rentals in Breckenridge, all while still boasting plenty of square footage and a great location on the south end of downtown Breck. A short walk from Main Street, the free town shuttle is available just one door down.
If you don’t want to fight over who gets the best bedroom, this house is a great option since it comes with four master suites. There are also lots of little touches that make it a great family getaway, including pack-n-plays, booster seats, sleds and more. The backyard also has a children’s jungle gym and swing set.

Breck Town Lodge: 9 Bedrooms/9 Baths
*TBVR Certified – we’ve stayed here!

Bedrooms: 9 (2 Kings, 4 Queens, 3 Doubles, 3 Twins/Twin Bunks, 2 Sleeper Sofas)
Bathrooms: 9
Square footage: 4,130
Parking: 6 cars
Pet-Friendly? No
Want something walkable to Main? Another of the large Breckenridge vacation rentals I’ve had the pleasure of staying in is Breck Town Lodge (read my full review here), where myself and nine other travel writers had a wonderful travel writing retreat.
Two things set this one apart for me. First, the three bedrooms on the first floor are essentially their own apartments, each with its own bathroom and kitchenette. Second, this one is ideal if you’ll mostly be cooking and eating in, as it can seat 21 without having to squeeze in a single chair.
The three levels really allow your group to spread out, and the location is hard to beat. This is another I’d stay in again.
