Yet another house I’ve enjoyed staying in myself that is great for a big group is the Bogart House (read my business partner Noreen’s full review here), which has an ideal location on Ridge Street just one block above Main Street. It’s situated just high enough to have a great view of the ski runs on the other side of Main, which you can enjoy from an Adirondack chair in the yard or from the hot tub.

There’s plenty of room for everyone in your group inside this spacious layout, or head outside and enjoy the hot tub and fire pit. Keep everyone entertained with plenty of televisions throughout the house, including every bedroom. There’s also a rec room with a pool table, two flatscreen tvs, gas fireplace and wet bar. The bunk room even has great gaming chairs for the gamers in your life.
Located only a mile from the base of Peak 8, it’s an easy drive to the slopes or a short walk to the Breck Free Ride shuttle.

Just off Lower Sawmill ski run, this luxury home has a location that can’t be beat for slopeside access to Peak 9. You have sweeping views of Bald Mountain and Red Mountain and can ski directly off the back porch to the Peak 9 base area. It’s also easy to get back at the end of the day.
Staying in? Enjoy the custom kitchen with Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances. In addition to the main living area, there’s a second lofted living area upstairs and a third living area downstairs. Plenty of room for your group to spread out and never feel cramped. When you come in from a day on the slopes, you can pop your boots in the large boot dryer and treat your muscles to the hot tub or large dry sauna.

*TBVR Certified – we’ve stayed here!
Bedrooms: 8 (4 Kings, 3 Queens, 1 room with two Queens, Sleeper Sofa)
Square footage: 7,500

I’ve personally stayed at Mont Vista Chateau with a group of nine other women (read my full review here), and I’d gladly stay again in the future. It is everything you expect in a luxury rental, including an incredible kitchen. We hired a private chef to come in and cook our first night in town so we could relax, and it was the ideal setup.

The views and outdoor space, paired with tons of space inside the 7,500 square foot house, make this the perfect mountain retreat. The only downside is that this one isn’t walkable to Main Street (the flip side of being high enough up to have great views from the deck). However, it is just three minutes from a shuttle stop. It also has plenty of parking, so if you’re planning on having a vehicle in town, it’s a great option.
The Timbers Lodge: 8 Bedrooms/7.5 Baths
Bedrooms: 8 (3 Kings, 4 Queens, 2 Twins, Bunk Beds, Sleeper Sofa)
Square footage: 6,900
Parking: Two-car garage and driveway space
If you’re looking for a luxury ski-in/ski-out for your large family or big group, look no further than The Timbers Lodge near the base of Peak 8. The Timbers sits on Trygve’s run just off the half-pipe at the base of Peak 8. Few vacation rentals of this caliber are available so close to the slopes. Even if you’re visiting outside of the winter months, it’s an ideal location for hiking, biking or anything else that brings you to Breck.

Two things set this one apart for me. First, the three bedrooms on the first floor are essentially their own apartments, each with its own bathroom and kitchenette. Second, this one is ideal if you’ll mostly be cooking and eating in, as it can seat 21 without having to squeeze in a single chair.
The three levels really allow your group to spread out, and the location is hard to beat. This is another I’d stay in again.
High Country Hacienda
Bedrooms: 9 (3 Kings, 5 Queens, 4 Twins, 1 Sleeper Sofa)
Square footage: 6,000
Parking: 8 cars
Not willing to settle for less than a true ski-in/ski-out in Breckenridge? The Hacienda is a great option for large groups. You can ski down to the Snowflake Lift instead of fighting crowds at the base of Peak 8. It’s also an easy walk to the Breck Free Ridge or the gondola. In the summer, you can walk on a private trail to Sawmill Lake or downtown.
Check availability at The Hacienda
The Hacienda has great views, and your group will all be comfy with their own bathrooms for each bedroom. The owners of this home will also cater to your every need. You can send a list ahead of time and have the house stocked with food and they even provide an on-call shuttle if you choose to come without a vehicle.
Great Raven Grande (10 Bedrooms/7.5 Baths)
Bedrooms: 10 (2 Kings, 6 Queens, 3 Bunk Beds)
Square footage: 5,898

Great Raven Grande’s 10 bedrooms are spread across a lower chalet called Raven’s Bungalow (4 bedrooms) and an upper chalet called Raven’s Call Chalet (6 bedrooms), which can be rented together or separately. This layout allows groups of up to 23 to sleep and spend time together comfortably. The rec room has ping pong, foosball, a game table and pool table so your group will have plenty to keep them entertained.

Located two blocks from Main Street and immediately across the street from a Breck Free Ride stop, this house is in an excellent location. Little Mountain Lodge features a fully-equipped commercial kitchen, elevator, lighted waterfall and even an outdoor rock wedding area for weddings of 45 people or less. This house offers a rare opportunity for large groups to stay together for weddings, retreats and other events.
What to Pack for Breckenridge
You can find all the essentials I take on every trip here, from my favorite toiletry bag and travel purse to the best power bank I’ve found to keep my phone taking great photos all day long.
Here are some specific favorites I always pack for Breckenridge:
☆ Merrell women’s waterproof hiking boots — Waterproof and lightweight.
☆ Osprey Dry Stuff Pack — I love this because it packs down into its own pocket and is great for outdoor activities.
☆ 3-in-1 Jacket — This is a great lightweight waterproof rain jacket plus a puffer for warmth, which can all be worn together or each piece separate. Perfect for the variable weather you can get throughout the day/night in Breck in the spring or fall. Check out this one if you prefer a fleece to a puffer.
☆ LL Bean Winter Jacket — This is my non-ski winter jacket. It’s warmer than the one listed above that I use in spring/fall. I’ve used it on countless winter trips in temperatures down to the teens. Would buy it again!
☆ Columbia ski pants — I have these in two colors, and they’re my favorite ski pants I’ve ever owned. They’re warm in the winter but don’t keep you too warm for spring skiing.
☆ Columbia midweight baselayer — This is a great baselayer in the winter and plenty warm enough for early or late season skiing without anything but a jacket on top.
☆ Columbia Omni-Heat baselayer — This is the baselayer you want when it’s really cold out.
☆ Smartwool full cushion ski socks — My favorite ski socks. They’re comfy in my boots and keep my feet warm without making me sweat.
☆ Revo x Bode Miller Ski Goggles — I got these ski goggles a couple of seasons ago, and they’re by far the best ski goggles I’ve ever had. They work in low light, sunlight and everything in between. Plus, they look great on!
☆ Winter pompom hat — I have this hat in two colors because it’s so warm, comfy and stylish.
☆ Ski strap and pole carrier — Even if you only have a short walk with your skis, you’ll thank yourself for buying this great over-the-shoulder carrier. Worth every penny!
☆ Power bank — This can recharge my Google Pixel 6 Pro more than three times on a single charge so I can take photos and videos all day.
☆ GorillaPod mini-tripod — Wrap the flexible arms of this around a tree branch, fence, sign…anything. Great for taking shots of you or the whole group with the gorgeous Breckenridge scenery.
