“It’s the place of the endless summer,” says our surfer friend. That describes San Diego to a “T.”
With an average temperature of 72 degrees and 266 days of sunshine, it’s easy to see why visitors flock here. With summer temperatures rising and humidity off the charts in so many other U.S. locations, San Diego remains an extremely comfortable weather destination.
Seventy miles of picturesque coastline make beach-going a popular activity, and this is possibly San Diego’s biggest attraction. Every beach has its unique attitude, character, and fans. What they all have in common is mild weather and great sand.
No matter when you choose to come, you can pack casually, throw in a bathing suit, flip flops, sunglasses, a sweatshirt for cool coastal evenings, and you’re ready for a memorable Southern California vacation San Diego style.
I just happen to have some condo suggestions for a stay in Pacific Beach, a dynamic surf town with a vibrant California beach lifestyle and magnificent views. We found some great prices – all under $500 per night, much better than what you would pay at a San Diego hotel.
Mermaid Crossing Panoramic Ocean View
Located on the 9th floor of Capri By the Sea, this one-bedroom, one-bath condo features floor-to-ceiling windows with uninterrupted views of the Pacific Ocean. The vacation rental can sleep up to six with a master king room, and a common space that includes a double Murphy bed and double sofa bed and a fireplace.
The rooftop offers 360-degree views with BBQ grills, picnic tables, and lounge seating. A heated pool and hot tub are located on the ground floor.
Boardwalk Oceanfront
This lovely condo is located just one level above the boardwalk in the See the Sea complex offering full ocean and beach views and iconic Crystal Pier. Though it’s in a quiet area, it’s only one block away from restaurants and shopping.
The two-bedroom, two-bath rental can accommodate up to six guests with a queen bed, two twins in the second bedroom and a double sofa bed. One large balcony over the living room is ideal for taking in the magnificent sunset views.
Pacific Beach with Bay Views
Located on the 4th floor of Riviera Villas, this condo can sleep up to four with a king bed in the master bedroom and a double Murphy sofa bed and double sofa. Its location in Mission Bay is ideal as the two beach communities are side by side and constantly overlap. The condo also offers one full spacious bath with dual sinks and a fireplace in the living room.
Unobstructed views of beautiful Sail Bay are such a treat here. Enjoy coffee on your private balcony as you watch the boardwalk come alive. Two beach cruiser bikes are included in the rental price.
180-Degree Ocean Views
This beautiful 850-square-foot unit on the beach offers incredible ocean views with floor-to-ceiling windows from the 11th floor. If you’re a beach bum, this place is ideal as beach chairs and umbrellas are included in the rental. Elevators can take you to a north roof terrace that offers 360-degree vistas.
The one-bedroom, one-bath unit can sleep up to six with two queens in the master bedroom and a double Murphy bed.
Luxury Oceanfront with Jacuzzi
This newly remodeled two-bedroom, two-bath 1200-square-foot condo is such a deal for a family given that it can sleep up to six. The master includes a king bed, the second bedroom a queen and twin, and the living room has a double sofa bed.
Wake up to the soothing sounds of the ocean and dolphins playing in the waves as they love this spot, as do whales during the migration season. You’ll also be overlooking San Diego’s world-famous boardwalk and the iconic Crystal Pier.
Sunset and Sounds of the Surf
You’ll get soothing sounds of the surf, panoramic ocean views, stunning sunsets and cool ocean breezes from this recently remodeled large one-bedroom, one-bath oceanfront condo located on the 6th floor of Capri By the Sea.
The front sand bottom beach is perfect for swimming and surfing. Guests also have access to a heated pool, sun deck, a spa and sauna. Sand toys, Boogie Boards, beach chairs, an umbrella, and beach towels are included.

Guests will enjoy stunning unobstructed ocean views and invigorating breezes from this two-bedroom, two-bath vacation rental located next to the Pacific Beach Boardwalk.
The condo can sleep up to six guests with a master king bedroom, and a guest room with two queens. No need to put someone in your party on a sleeper sofa here. This is another amazing deal for a family or group of friends vacationing together.

This extra-large one-bedroom, one-bath corner penthouse condo offers amazing vistas of the north, south and west on Pacific Beach’s Sail Bay, especially the majestic sunsets. Due to a pull-down Murphy bed in the living room, the vacation rental can accommodate up to four guests.

And the best part of staying in this lovely place is watching the dolphins, surfers and sailboats. Take your pick to be barefoot on the beach or flip-flops on the iconic boardwalk.
