The Treehouse at The Escape – Orderville, Utah

The Treehouse at the Escape must be one of the most creative vacation treehouse rentals we’ve seen yet.
When a one-hundred-year-old cottonwood tree died, the owners decided to preserve the trunk and build a treehouse 16 feet off the ground. Even more unique, they hollowed out the tree trunk and placed a hobbit door at the bottom entrance where adventurous visitors can climb (think ‘rock wall style’) inside the tree trunk and up to the rental. Don’t worry, though; exterior stairs will make carrying in your belongings much more effortless.
The interior boasts a rustic feel with comfort in mind. Once inside, you’ll find a full-sized bathroom, a king-sized bed, a kitchenette with a two-burner cooktop, and a pull-out sofa to sleep extra guests. Large picture windows let in expansive views of Sugar Knoll plateau, while stargazing is easy, right from your bed.

The location of this treehouse could not be better for exploring Utah’s National Parks, as it sits directly between Zion and Bryce. Up for more adventure? The Grand Canyon, Lake Powell, and Horseshoe Bend are all within driving distance.
Treehouse on the Farm – Ashe County, North Carolina

This handicapped-accessible treehouse comes packed with artistry and charm. You will know you’re in for a treat from the moment you arrive at the 72-acre farm, surrounded by expansive mountain views. The owners are artists, wood crafters, and animal lovers – combining the three makes for a memorable stay you won’t want to miss.
Posts and beams used for construction came from trees that once graced the property, and the interior touches are one-of-a-kind, including an old apple tree stump used to create the sink in the full bath, also graced with an enormous clawfoot tub. Rounding out the space is a full kitchen, living room, two queen beds, and a pull-out couch, allowing room for 6. Staying on the farm offers endless hiking opportunities right out your front door.
