There’s just something about the Caribbean. Breathtaking beaches, palm-lined with pearly-white sand, warm ocean breezes, and laid-back island escapes. Of these, the Turks and Caicos are among the most magnificent Caribbean isles I’ve visited. The ocean reigns supreme here. You’ll look far and wide to find waters this crystal clear with so many colorful shades ranging from tourmaline to deep azure.
About Turks and Caicos
Considered one of the world’s best-kept secrets, the Turks and Caicos Islands are a British Overseas Territory, southwest of the Bahamas. Comprised of 40 islands and smaller cays, this exquisite island cluster was aptly proclaimed “beautiful by nature” by Christopher Columbus on his first voyage to the New World. The natural beauty of these islands must have truly been awe-inspiring, as they are today. It’s a place so unique that even iguanas have their own personal piece of paradise.
A Luxury Vacation Rental in Turks and Caicos
Staying and playing in a tropical nirvana with beach and ocean views were the icing on the cake of this vacation. Ocean Club Resorts in Providenciales with its east and west-side villas offer Turks and Caicos vacation rentals located directly on picturesque Grace Bay Beach, voted time and again one of the world’s best beaches. The fully-furnished studios, junior suites, and one, two, and three-bedroom units provide perfect flexible options for home-away-from-home getaways. Though individually owned, they are available for rental.
Two-Bedroom Villas at Ocean Club Resorts
Villas throughout both properties are stunning with their pearly white and flamingo pink exteriors encased within its lush exotic-flowered grounds. My beautifully-appointed nautical themed two-bedroom, 2 ½ bath villa at Ocean Club East was an unbelievably spacious 1,600 square feet which included a king master bedroom with large bath area.
The second bedroom sported two twins, ideal for bringing along other family members or friends each having their own place to sleep. However, the beds can easily be converted to a king. This bedroom also had its own separate full bath. Another half-bath is conveniently located just down the hallway.
The separate living room area provided ample seating with a large pull-out sofa, comfy side chairs accented with pillows, and plenty of table space. It’s a great place for a gathering.
A dining area just off the living room offered seating for six in lovely turquoise fabric-covered high back chairs. The kitchen area was stocked with every possible amenity needed to prepare in-house meals if preferred. Additional seating for three is available at the breakfast bar.
I loved the massive screened-in porch with chaise loungers featuring stunning beach and ocean views along with an added lovely poolside view to the right. All in all, Ocean Club proved to be the ideal place to stay with multiple stay options, all with accompanying picture-perfect views. This made for a magical vacation. Add in the awe-inspiring sunsets, and you understand well why they call this paradise. I tell everyone it’s my “heaven on Earth” place.
Amenities at Ocean Club Resorts
Additional villa amenities included flat-screen TVs, DVD player, washer, dryer, in-room safe, and luxury toiletries. The resort also carries a library of books and DVDs. Daily complimentary breakfast included in the rental package is served at two beachfront cabana restaurants or can be delivered right to your villa upon request.
If the accommodations aren’t fabulous enough, this resort offers so much more. Ocean Club and Ocean Club West are just minutes from each other, and guests can easily enjoy the unique dining opportunities and amenities of both areas. A complimentary shuttle is available.
You can’t miss the resort’s iconic and welcoming pink beach umbrellas and loungers—a glorious contrast to the tourmaline ocean waters. The resort also features three alluring freshwater pools and spas, and hammocks scattered throughout the property. Though Ocean Club East and West share three world-class restaurants, ranging from casual to fine dining, grill masters love the BBQ stations located adjacent to each pool area.
Relaxing and Recreation in Turks and Caicos
If doing nothing is your thing, Ocean Club will impress. However, more adventure and fitness lovers have access to tennis courts, golf, diving and snorkeling excursions, eco-tours, kayaking, windsurfing, watersports, and a fully equipped fitness center. I loved the complimentary adult bicycles for touring the Grace Bay area. Access to shopping, local restaurants, and night life is just a short stroll from the resort.
For me, the Turks and Caicos are all about vacation choices blending in perfect harmony. Here, it’s all about having the convenience of a villa with the amenities of a beachfront resort. You just can’t beat that.
And in this tropical paradise, I can’t imagine staying anywhere more beautiful than Ocean Club Resorts.
