Micro-cations are having a moment.
In a year marked by economic uncertainty and changing consumer habits, Americans are once again opting for shorter, more intentional getaways. These are one of my favorite ways of relaxing, unwinding, and re-charging without a long-term time commitment.
Micro-cations are more spontaneous leisure trips further than 100 miles from home for four nights or less. The short getaways offer a practical solution for Americans looking at limited paid vacation time, high travel costs and a desire for shorter breaks without the commitment of a week-long vacation.
If you’re looking for a weekend reset or mid-week escape, here are some properties that offer meaningful experiences.
Carneros Resort and Spa, Napa Valley
