Breckenridge, CO is renowned as a popular destination for snow skiers. With over 2,900 acres of terrain across five peaks offering memorable skiing and snowboarding for beginning to expert skiers, its winter appeal is easy to understand. Breckenridge, however, has become a year-round destination with other attractions like hiking, mountain biking, and fishing, and for its historic downtown with shopping, art galleries, and dining.
My fall of 2023 stay at Grand Colorado on Peak 8 was a memorable experience, and I plan a return visit.
Upon entering, I was warmly greeted by the front desk staff. Looking around, I appreciated how the plush seating, natural wood, elegant lighting, and lobby bar combined to create a warm, inviting atmosphere.

The resort’s myriad amenities makes it an ideal location for multi-generational families with varied interests.
“What sets this resort apart is the sheer number of amenities and variety of things to do, in addition to skiing, that provide a more well-rounded guest experience,” Ginny Vietti, Vice-President of Marketing at Breckenridge Grand Vacations, told me.
Skiers and snowboarders enjoy ski-in/ski-out access, and most units include a ski locker. Equipment rental is also available. Beginner skiers or those who wish to hone their skills can take lessons at the ski and snowboard school.

A Different Approach to Ownership

Grand Colorado at Peak 8 offers fractional ownership – timeshares – meaning you own a portion of the property. You purchase the amount of time you will use, such as one, two, ten, or more weeks. You can use, share, or rent your residence.
“We offer ownership at a fraction of the price you would spend for a full-time residence,” Vietti emphasized.

In addition, the convenient free shuttle service allowed me to visit the historic downtown without driving.
