Situated on the northeastern coast of Central America, Belize is a captivating jewel that beckons with its enchanting blend of natural wonders and rich cultural diversity.

Bordered by Mexico to the north, Guatemala to the west and south, and the sparkling Caribbean Sea to the east, this small, but vibrant country is renowned for its lush rainforests, pristine beaches and the mesmerizing Belize Barrier Reef, the second-largest coral reef system in the world.

Beyond its breathtaking landscapes, Belize boasts a unique tapestry of cultures, reflecting the influences of Maya, Garifuna, Mestizo, and Creole communities. As visitors traverse the country’s diverse terrain, they discover a place where ancient history and modern vitality coalesce, creating an unforgettable and immersive experience.

No matter who I’ve talked to about Belize, the accolades start pouring in and the personal experiences these travelers share are always impressive. But they are adamant that staying in a vacation rental provides the best vacation experience. Especially those that provide the views and vistas we’re about to share.

Whether you’re planning a getaway for two or a family or friends escape, we’ve got you covered.

Nautilus Del Mar

This 3,700-square-foot villa is one of six Seascape Villa luxury properties, but the only one directly on the beach.

Located on the unspoiled beachfront of Ambergris Caye, this gorgeous vacation home can accommodate up to six guests and features three large bedrooms, 3.5 baths and spacious balconies and verandas opening out to the sea. It’s ideal for a family or a group of friends.

The property is also shaded by tropical palms and includes a designer pool you may never want to get out of.

Sunset Pointe

This beautiful island-inspired apartment is located in a private single-family residence, but you are the only ones in the home during your vacation stay.

The area, surrounded by water on three sides in Placencia Village, shares a pool, two docks and three rooftop viewing decks with 12 other units, but because this is a small property, it’s never crowded.

Furnished in tropical rattan, the one-bedroom, two-bath apartment also includes impressive local artwork, full-size appliances, and a washer/dryer. Guests will love the private porches looking out onto a picturesque garden, tropical mangroves and the Caribbean Sea. And it’s only a five-minute walk to the village.

This two-bedroom, two-bath vacation home features a lanai with a hammock, bright and open living area, and stunning water views with pearl-white sands right outside your door.

Located in a private and quiet location, this is the ideal place if you’re looking for a bit of solitude and quiet while falling asleep to the lapping of the waves.

A couple of restaurants are close-by and if you need anything more, the town of San Pedro is only a four-mile drive north.

Beachfront, Private Home with Pool

We’re ready to pack our bags right now and head straight to this stunning three-bedroom, two-bath, private vacation home that can sleep six.

This house has it all, including a surprisingly reasonable price for this piece of Belize heaven.

A large Saltillo tile breezeway leads to a pool and deck overlooking a private white sandy beach. An outdoor veranda also runs the length of the house for your first-class viewing pleasure. The home also sports Belizean hardwood floors and a spiral staircase leading to a private rooftop deck with beautiful views of the back bay, mountains, and of course, the sunsets we all envy.

The home is located in the most beautiful area of the Belize Peninsula less than two miles north of Maya Beach where you’ll find grocery stores, restaurants and bars.

Bermuda Landings Oceanview Condo

This spacious one-bedroom plus den combo property with two baths has impressive views of the pool, beach and ocean. Open your front door, and you’re just a few steps from the beach.

The king master suite is roomy and with a twin futon in the office, you could bring along a little one.

Guests of the Landings at Tres Cocos property will love the two freshwater swimming pools, a saltwater pool, a beachside BBQ cooking station and a waterfront dock. You’re less than a mile from San Pedro Town and as a most welcome amenity, the property provides transfers from Belize City to San Pedro, Ambergris Cay.

Golf cart rental is also available by reservation.

With a spectacular view of the world’s second-largest Barrier Reef, Las Amapolas is tucked among coconut palm trees and a white sandy beach. The home is on a secluded beach that was once an old coconut grove (El Cocal) about 4.5 miles north of San Pedro Town, on the Mata Grande Area of Ambergris Caye.

This one-bedroom king with private balcony offers beach-chic furnishings but the views are the absolute icing on the cake. As Jimmy Buffet would say “it’s just another day in paradise.”

Private Ocean Front Botanical Retreat

It’s no wonder this charming, beautiful, 1,200-square-foot home on the island of Ambergris Caye has such spectacular reviews.

It’s the iconic laid-back beach home that reflects everything Belize. The vacation rental offers three bedrooms and can sleep up to six guests. A covered front veranda is ideal for listening to the tropical birds, the wave action and feeling the gentle ocean breezes blowing through your hair. Gatherers will love scouring the beach for sea hearts and seashells.

Ophelia’s Luxury Villa with Private Pool

If you’re into luxury with a view, this custom-designed three-level home on a waterfront lagoon is the perfect choice. Especially if you want to share it with family or friends.

The three-bedroom, 2.5-bath, 1,650-square foot villa is situated in a quiet area in Maya Beach and only 300 yards from the beach access point in Placencia. The home is beautifully appointed and features a spacious open-concept kitchen, large open dining and living area with a resort-style pool and outdoor shower.

Views are spectacular and nighttime stargazing is awe-inspiring.

This place is so cute and charming.

Welcome to your own little tropical home away from home called “Serenity by the Sea.” The cottage, located right on the beach, can sleep two guests with a queen bed and a full-size futon can accommodate one more. Relax on the outdoor hammock or enjoy toes in the sand with a cocktail in hand.

Jungle Treehouse Over the River

If you’re really into doing something different, how about a stay in a jungle-y treehouse?

In Howler House, you’ll sit high in the jungle canopy over the Belize River. Howler monkey families live in the trees, crocodiles move through the pond, and butterflies and songbirds fill the sky. The treehouse sports three bedrooms, one bath, and a fully equipped kitchen.

The owners can pick guests up at the airport only 20 minutes away and provide any other transportation or tours needed. While the house is a romantic getaway for two, guests can make use of an extra bed or bring hammocks for sleeping. After all, you are in a treehouse.

If you need anything from town, the village is only a five-minute drive or 15-minute walk. Or you can take the bicycles provided complimentary with the stay and enjoy exploring the river by canoe.
