Situated on 65 picturesque acres, Fairmont Scottsdale Princess exudes Southwestern sophistication with stunning scenery and a relaxing, laid-back vibe with lush grounds, lagoons and desert landscaping. When a resort can perfectly master this balance, you know you’re in for a real treat during your stay.
Fairmont hotels have always had an excellent reputation for quality, ambience, outstanding customer service, and impressive settings, and Fairmont Scottsdale Princess delivers in a big way.
I was fortunate to be here in early December 2025 during the ‘Christmas at the Princess’ event that runs every year from late November to early January. This magical happening includes over 16 million lights, fire tables, igloos, a 120-foot Ferris wheel, and Twinkle Town offering sleigh rides, train rides and other entertainment.
A massive outdoor ice-skating rink made with real ice allows visitors to experience a classic winter tradition, surrounded by star-lit skies and desert beauty. Lights and trees in the lobby and outside plaza are stunning.
For those who visit at other seasons throughout the year, the hotel will deliver an unforgettable experience for a couple’s getaway, family vacation, or corporate event.
Resort Accommodations

Fairmont Scottsdale Princess offers a choice of 750 guest rooms which includes standard accommodations and one and two-bedroom suites. Of these, the Privado Villas enclave comprises 119 residential-style suites (50 one-bedroom villas plus 69 signature studios) with a private pool, gas fireplaces and dedicated concierge service. Views vary from resort grounds, golf course, lagoon, pool, and sunset settings and all offer patios or balconies.
Warm, desert accents and Southwestern-inspired architecture and artwork create an authentic atmosphere in each of the accommodation choices, along with expansive bathrooms and high-end bath products. Suites offer sofa beds or murphy beds with large living rooms and dining areas.
I loved the luxurious yet understated décor which lets the magnificent surrounding landscape be the star of the show!
Resort Amenities

There are so many amenities and happenings at the Fairmont that guests may find it hard to pull themselves away from the resort.
There are six sparkling outdoor pools on site. Notably, the Sonoran Splash pool is family-friendly and features two 200-foot twisting waterslides, a zero-entry deck (for kids), plush daybeds and cabanas, and a sandbox area.
The newly-renoved Princess Pool offers sweeping views of lush lagoons and golf’s famous TPC Stadium Course. Guests can sip cocktails and savor homemade treats at the poolside café, The Social, and at night slip into the oversized hot tub under a starry desert sky.
The biggest surprise at the resort is Arizona’s only beach escape, Sunset Beach. With 9,000 square feet of soft white sand and swaying palm trees, The Princess’ largest pool area features comfy, oversized lounge chairs and a giant splash pad.
Those into golf will appreciate the adjacent championship-level golf course: TPC Scottsdale.
Well & Being Spa is internationally known for its luxurious, innovative offerings while the Sisley-Paris spa-within-a-spa experience is one of 27 Sisley spas spanning the globe. The journey to a sensorial world here offers a myriad of body, hair and skincare treatments to choose from.
A rooftop adults-only pool provides a private, serene setting. Other spa features include a ‘grotto’ waterfall, hot and cold plunge pools, aromatherapy inhalation room, and a fitness center. A spa-side eatery offers nutritious, healthy meal options. Guests who book a treatment receive all-day access to all spa amenities.
Resort shopping is redefined with the Scottsdale Shops, thoughtfully curated boutiques for those looking for exclusive apparel and specialty gifts.
Dining at the Resort
Another incredible benefit of staying at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess is the number of top-quality, award-winning dining options available to guests.
Bourbon Steak
The brainchild of James Beard award-winning chef Michael Mina, this AAA four-diamond high-end dinner-only steakhouse offers premium cuts of meat, fresh seafood, seasonal sides and an extensive wine cellar boasting over 3,000 bottles and a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence.
La Hacienda
A stylish Mexican-inspired restaurant from Chef Richard Sandoval, La Hacienda offers traditional upscale Mexican dishes with flare and innovation accompanied by Spanish architecture, beehive outdoor fireplaces, and a starlit patio for an impressive dinner experience.
Toro
After dining at a Richard Sandoval Toro in Los Cabos, I couldn’t be more excited than hearing that the resort offers this amazing foodie option. Overlooking the TPC Stadium golf course, guests can grab a shuttle to experience breakfast, brunch, lunch, happy hour and dinner at this Pan-Latin restaurant.
Dine here once, and guaranteed, you’ll want to come back.
Ironwood American Kitchen
The resort’s dining room overlooking the main pool area serves breakfast, lunch and dinner specializing in elevated American-style comfort food celebrating Arizona’s farmland heritage. Portions are impressive so sharing is a great option here.
The Plaza Bar
This expansive outdoor venue is a polished, mixology-driven lounge with an inviting patio and inviting fire pits, especially on a cool Sonoran Desert evening. Other than a selection of wines, craft beers and creative cocktails, the bar offers a fairly limited, but well-chosen collection of light-bite food items.
Resort Perks

Fairmont Scottsdale Princess offers a pet package (sometimes referred to as ‘Posh Paws’) for dogs including amenities like a plush dog bed, treats, food and water bowls, a doggie toy, waste bags and even an in-room pup dining menu. The fee runs $50 per night plus a cleaning fee. The resort is so pet-friendly, guests can even interact with Fairmont’s friendly ‘lobby dogs’ who serve as ambassadors, greeting arriving guests and welcoming travelers and families.
Kiddos love the Trailblazers Kids Club, a fun zone offering themed activities and interactive group activities that includes games, crafts, sports, virtual reality fun, storytelling and more for ages 5-12.
Other resort offerings include catch and release fishing in Fairmont’s picturesque lagoon, tennis and pickle ball, along with seasonal fun extras such as mini-golf, family pool games, water-based games and other resort-created activities.
It’s no wonder guests consistently rank their stay at the resort as a five-star experience. With the luxury, amenities, scenic grounds, award-winning dining, incredible anticipatory customer service from the moments of check-in to check-out, this isn’t just a desert resort, it’s a luxurious and relaxing oasis and retreat where vacation feels effortless.
