Imagine waking up to crisp, refreshing mountain air and feeling miles from civilization despite being only a few minutes away. Welcome to the Great Smoky Mountains and Eagles Ridge Resort, where every sunrise brings a world of adventure, luxury, and beauty to your doorstep.
The cabins at Eagles Ridge Resort in Pigeon Forge offer peace and quiet in a serene setting only a mile away from the Pigeon Forge Parkway in Tennessee, giving you easy access to both Gatlinburg, Sevierville, and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. You are close to the action, but away from the crowds.
I visited Pigeon Forge in fall of 2024 and enjoyed spending four nights in Cabin 823 – Eagle Falls at the Eagles Ridge Resort. It was a luxurious three-bedroom cabin with all the amenities a family or group of friends would want for a getaway.
The Eagle Falls Cabin: Accommodation and Amenities

When my van pulled up to the cabin, it looked like many other cozy cabins I had seen, but when I opened the door, I knew it was several steps above average in terms of space and luxury. It offered a thoughtful layout, luxurious features, and family-friendly amenities. The upper windows and sliding doors let in lots of natural light and the view was gorgeous.
The entry leads to a great room on the main floor. The first thing you see is the rustic wooden table, hewn from the local forest. The table has bench-style seating for eight to ten guests. It sits beside a full kitchen with granite countertops and black stainless-steel appliances, including a blender, toaster, mixer, regular coffee maker and Keurig coffee maker. The kitchen is perfect for cooking family meals if you’re tired of dining out. There is also a small bar with two stools.
The focal point of the spacious vaulted ceiling great room is the built-in stone gas fireplace. There is also a queen sleeper sofa and loveseat.
A sliding door extends the living space to a large screened-in covered porch with an inviting outdoor gas fireplace and seating area perfect for sipping morning coffee or enjoying a cozy evening of late-night conversation. I sat in front of the indoor fireplace several mornings and the outdoor fireplace on the final morning before heading to the airport.
It was so incredibly peaceful.
Love the Luxury Bathroom
To the right of the living area was the primary bedroom with a king-size bed, dresser, TV nightstands, and ceiling fan. The real luxury was the bathroom. As you enter, the focal point is the copper soaking tub. I had a long, relaxing soak in this tub on three of the four nights at the cabin.

There is also a glass-enclosed tile walk-in shower, double vanities, and a Bluetooth-enabled speaker for music while you enjoy that long soak. Sliding glass doors lead from the bedroom out to the screened deck.
To the left of the living room is a second bedroom and bath. It also has a king bed, and the bath has a glass-enclosed tiled stand-up shower. The sliding glass doors of this room lead to an uncovered deck with a gas grill and an outdoor cooking area.
Steps from the living area lead down to the lower level, which includes a third bedroom, a game room, theater room and an indoor pool. These alone will keep kids and teens engaged for hours. The theater room is perfect for family movie nights. It is equipped with technology, including a sound bar system, a large-screen TV, and reclining theater seats. The game room has several game consoles, a TV, and a set of queen bunk beds ideal for kids and extra guests. Sliding glass doors in the game room and the third bedroom lead to a lower-level screened porch with a seating area and relaxing hot tub, bringing the spa experience right to your doorstep.
The hot tub felt great after hiking and sightseeing in the Smoky Mountains. From the screened porch, a door leads to an outdoor gas fire pit and plenty of seating. It is an excellent place to roast marshmallows under the stars and enjoy nature as you make wonderful memories.
The third bedroom also has a queen bed, dresser and a full bath.
It sounds like the perfect place for a getaway, doesn’t it? But there is more. Also on the lower level is an indoor pool room with a heated private pool. A fountain and changing colored lights highlight the room. During the warmer months, a glass roll-up door provides access to the deck. My time at the cabin was limited, but I took a dip in the refreshing pool after a busy day.
A closet on the lower level houses a stacked washer and dryer, which is ideal for extended stays or cleaning up after outdoor adventures.
With panoramic views of the Smoky Mountains from the porch, the natural beauty surrounding Eagle Falls is reason enough to stay here.
